Summary |
The proposed amendments seek to:
1. Allow storing and distributing of hermetically sealed soybean curd, whole soybean curd and starch gel (muk) at room temperature;
2. Mitigate the Escherichia colistandard for prepared foods in restaurants (including catering foods) to practical level;
3. Establish and revise the maximum residue limits for pesticides:
- Establish the maximum residue limits for three newly registered pesticides (Isofetamid, etc.);
- Expand the range of target agricultural products for 40 pesticides (Glufosinate, etc.);
- Revise the definition of residues for four pesticides (Benfuracarb, etc.);
4. Establish the maximum residue limits for veterinary drug (Nandrolone) in foods;
5. Establish and revise the general testing methods.
