| Summary |
The proposed maximum residue limit (PMRL) document for lambda-cyhalothrin notified in G/SPS/N/CAN/1389 (dated 20 May 2021) was adopted 23 December 2021.
As per PMRL2021-14, the revocation of the MRLs for lambda-cyhalothrin on corresponding commodities will take effect to allow sufficient time for legally treated commodities to clear the channels of trade. The revocation of MRLs will be legally in effect following their removal from the MRL database, that is, 36 months from the date of publication of RVD2021-04 (published 29 April 2021).
MRLs established in Canada may be found using Health Canada's Maximum Residue Limit Database (http://pr-rp.hc-sc.gc.ca/mrl-lrm/index-eng.php) on the Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides webpage (https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/consumer-productsafety/pesticides-pest-management/public/protecting-your-health-environment/pesticidesfood/maximum-residue-limits-pesticides.html). The database allows users to search for pesticides or for food commodities.
