Summary |
This communication serves to inform Members that the phytosanitary requirements, previously notified in G/SPS/N/CAN/927/Rev.1 (dated 5 August 2021), entered into force effective 19 October 2022. For a period of 30 days following the effective date of this directive, the CFIA will accept the previous additional declarations indicated in the 2nd revision. As of 18 November 2022 only the additional declarations indicated in the 3rd revision of the directive will be accepted.
Changes to the list of countries approved to export fresh pepper and tomato fruit take effect immediately. Consignments destined to Canada that were correctly certified and exported prior to the entry into force of the revised phytosanitary requirements will be permitted entry.
