| Summary |
This is an addendum to New Zealand's WTO notification ( G/SPS/N/NZL/772 ) made on 30 July 2024 on proposed suspension of import pathways for nursery stock species that have not been used in many years because of lack of trade interest. The notification also included the format change of the import health standard Importation of Nursery Stock 155.02.06 and renaming it to Plants for Planting 155.02.06 to reflect terminology used in our newer import health standards.
We received feedback on pathways proposed for suspension that importers/exporters are still interested in using. Therefore, we have reviewed and will keep the import pathways for approximately 345 more genera open.
• To bring all the pathways up to date, we plan to consult later in the year on additional import measures for up to 45 of those genera.

The amended import health standard now comes into force on 4 August 2025.
