(A) Draft Food (Amendment No. X) Regulations 2022
The draft Food (Amendment No. X) Regulations 2022 notified in G/SPS/N/SGP/76 will be gazetted as the Food (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and enter into force on 31 July 2022.
(B) Veterinary Conditions for Importation of Poultry and Poultry Products; Pork and Pork Products; and Beef and Beef Products
Correspondingly, the Veterinary Conditions for Importation of Poultry and Poultry Products, Veterinary Conditions for Importation of Pork and Pork Products, as well as Veterinary Conditions for Importation of Beef and Beef Products, will be amended to include the following condition with effect from 31 July 2022:
"Pathogen reduction treatments (PRTs) may only be used on raw meat that has not been salted, marinated, preserved, or undergone any other form of processing. The establishment may use only SFA-approved PRTs up to their maximum use levels. PRTs are used in addition to proper hygiene practices and not used to make contaminated meat fit for human consumption."
