Summary |
The proposed amendment seeks to: 1. Revise the list of Raw materials allowed in food and delete the list of Raw materials not allowed in food; 2. Newly establish a food type called Milk protein hydrolysate formula for infants and young children; 3. Revise the qualitative specification to quantitative specification (not less than the labelled amount) for enzyme foods; 4. Newly establish a food type called Honey from sugar-fed honey bees and Honeycomb honey from sugar-fed honey bees. Also, include specifications for carbon isotope ratio for honey products; 5. Establish and revise the maximum residue limits for pesticides in foods: Establish the maximum residue limits for propyrisulfuron and expand the range of target agricultural products for 87 types of pesticides; Establish the maximum residue limits for spinetoram in livestock products; 6. Permit the import of Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides, Dissostichus mawsoni) and revise the raw material requirements for frozen edible fish heads; 7. Permit the use of Oak chip (bar) in the manufacturing and processing of fruit wine; 8. Delete the standard for sulphur dioxide in dried sugar-preserved (sugaring) food to be consistent with Korea Food Additives Code; 9. Revise the general test methods for microorganisms, pesticides, etc. and establish the test methods for sugar content, solid content and carbon isotope ratio.
