Summary |
The objective of the notified document PMRL2016-11 is to consult on the listed domestic and/or import maximum residue limits (MRLs) for abamectin that have been proposed by the Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA).

1 Proposed to replace the currently established MRLs of 0.05 ppm in/on head lettuce and celery.
2 There is currently a MRL of 0.02 ppm established for residues of abamectin in/on "citrus fruits" and no new MRLs for this crop group are being recommended. The established MRL of 0.02 ppm for "citrus fruits" will be replaced by specific MRLs of 0.02 ppm for each commodity listed under Crop Group 10 - Citrus Fruits (DIR98-02) to reflect the current terminology for these commodities.
3 Proposed to replace the currently established MRLs of 0.01 ppm in/on tomatoes and peppers.
4 Proposed to replace the currently established MRL of 0.005 ppm in/on cucumbers.
5 Proposed to replace the currently established MRLs of 0.005 ppm in/on almond nuts, Black walnuts and English walnuts.
6 A MRL of 0.01 ppm is currently established on potatoes which is a commodity included in this subgroup.
