Amendments to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 |
Summary |
The following amendments are being made to England, Scotland, and Wales (Great Britain) assimilated law Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072:
1. Moving Agrilus horni and Heterobasidion occidentale to the list of GB Quarantine Pests from the provisional Quarantine Pest list;
2. Moving Toumeyella parvicornis to the list of GB Quarantine Pests from the provisional Quarantine Pest list, including the need to meet the specific import requirements;
3. The removal of the pest Helicoverpa armigera from the GB Quarantine Pest list and the withdrawal of its specific import requirements;
4. The removal of two bark beetle species, Dendroctonus micans and Ips cembrae, from the list of Pest Free Area Quarantine Pests. Previously there were Pest Free Areas for these pests in the West of Scotland;
5. The addition of Homona magnanima as a GB provisional Quarantine Pest;
6. An update to the geographical extent of import requirements for Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, to reflect expansion of pest presence to Armenia;
7. An update to correct a misplaced asterisk in point 2 of part B of Annex VII requirement for Xylella fastidiosa, to clarify the requirement to provide Pest Free Area details (if used) on the phytosanitary certificate;
8. A change to the name of provisional Quarantine Pest from Ennomos subsignarius to Ennomos subsignaria.
