Summary	In order to update and comply with international standards, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is proposing to revise the MOPH Notifications, as follows: The provision in (2) of Clause 2 of the Ministry of Public Health Notification No. 390 (B.E. 2561), issued under the Food Act B.E. 2522, concerning the Prescribed foods which have criteria, condition, and method of use in food produced for sale, imported for sale or sold, dated 31 August 2018, shall be repealed and replaced with the following: Methyl alcohol (methyl alcohol) or methanol shall be permitted for use only as a processing aid in the production of the following foods: (a) Food additives, according to the Ministry of Public Health Notification on Food Additives; (b) Foods that have undergone safety assessment; (c) Foods intended for export.
