| Summary |
This draft amendment is related to the implementation of animals and animal products quarantine and the relevant Articles amended are 32, 32-1, 33, 34, 34-2, 34-3, 37, 38-1, 41, 41-1, 43 and 45. The rest of the Articles remain unchanged. The relevant subjects are as follows:
a. The imported objects shall be imported at seaports or airports which are designated and promulgated by import/export animal quarantine authorities;
b. The requirement is to determine whether the shipment is compliant with relevant regulations or not in its entirely or individually;
c. Authorizing the contents of import quarantine requirements;
d. The objects cannot be delivered by mail exception for those having received a permit from import/export animal quarantine authorities in advance;
e. The objects designated and promulgated by the central competent authority can be transited or transhipped only if the owners, agents or keepers apply for a permit prior to the shipment; and
f. Penalties for anyone violating the requirement of objects in transit or being transhipped, as well as the delivery of objects by mail.
