Summary |
This Regulation is intended to serve as a standard or reference for food business operators, who wish to distribute/sell primary food commodities in the domestic market of Indonesia. This Regulation specifies the maximum level of contaminants for Primary food commodities of plant origin, i.e. microbiological (Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Shiga Toxin producing Eschericia coli (STEC), and Bacillus cereus); heavy metals (Arsenic, Cadmium, and Lead); and mycotoxins (Aflatoxin B1, Aflatoxin total, Fumonisin, and Ochratoxin A). Compliance with the maximum level of contaminants would be determined by quantitative laboratory tests. The date of entry into force would be the same as the date of publication. However, there is a grace period of 12 months to comply with the Regulation for all primary food commodities that have been put in the market before the publication date of this Regulation.
