| Summary |
The Draft determines the list of vitamins, minerals and certain other substances intended for use in foods, their permissible norms in food products, and also approves the list of prohibited substances for use in food production.
The Draft also regulates the issues on sale, labeling and advertising of food products, according to which the labeling and advertising shall be true and contain comprehensive information that would not mislead consumers.
Food products that meet the requirements that were in force before the entry into force of this Order, but do not meet the requirements of this Order, may be imported to the customs territory of Ukraine, produced and/or put into circulation within three years after this Order comes into force. Such food products may be in circulation until their final date of consumption, or the expiry date, or the minimum expiry date.
