The purpose of this document is to ensure that the import requirements for fish and other aquatic products destined to the Saudi market are followed by foreign establishments subject to the control of an official control authority responsible for food safety in the concerned country. It primarily paves the way for delegating the official control authority the responsibility of providing approval for establishments in the business of harvesting and processing fish and other aquatic products of animal origin, interested in exporting their products to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
