The proposed amendments seek to:
1. Establish requirements of health certificate etc. for importation:
- Mandating original certificate (or duplicate copy) issued by exporting government;
2. Extend the scope of foods for import declaration maximum five days prior to arrival date:
- From sterilized(or pasteurized) processed goods to including meat, such as beef, pork, etc.;
3. Specify measures for ineligible foodstuffs from the laboratory test or random sampling test(collection test); and
4. Categorize harmful substances.
