The proposed amendments seek to:
1. Permit irradiation of seasoned dried fish/shellfish for the purpose of sterilization;
2. Adopt statistical concepts (three-class attributes plans) for microbiological specifications for twenty food types including noodles, sauces, etc.;
3. Establish and revise maximum residue limits for pesticides:
- Establish maximum residue limits for newly registered pesticides (oxathiapiprolin, indaziflam, isoxaflutole);
- Revise maximum residue limits for pesticides in 32 agricultural products;
- Establish maximum residue limits for deltamethrin and fenpyrazamine in ginseng;
4. Establish and revise maximum residue limits for veterinary drugs in foods:
- Establish maximum residue limits for twenty six veterinary drugs in porcine muscle;
5. Revise general testing methods.
