Please be informed that Circular Letter No. 108/2024/DHC/CGI/DIPOA/SDA/MAPA was published on 9 May 2024. This document introduces the Health Certificate model for exporting non-commercial samples to Brazil. It should be noted that the health certificate model itself has not changed. The only modification is an addition to item 1 of the Circular Letter, which now references Decree No. 6.296 of 11 December 2007. This ordinance permits the use of this certificate for the import of samples of animal feed products without commercial value, in addition to products for human consumption. Furthermore, we also acknowledge that the model health certificate issued will not necessarily have the same format as the attached model, due to the diversity of the computer systems used in different countries. However, all certificates must include the fields and items of this model. It is to be noted that countries that do not have a bilaterally certificate agreed with Brazil for exporting a certain product, but need to send samples of products suitable for human or animal consumption and without commercial value to Brazil (such as for participation in international competitions or for scientific research purposes) should use this model.
