| Summary |
The proposed amendments seek to:
1. Add temporary standards and specifications for livestock products;
2. Integrate approval process for food additives derived from genetically modified microorganism;
3. Reduce the data submitted for safety evaluation on food enzymes (or enzymes as food additives); and
4. Clarify the data submitted for safety evaluation on food contact surface sanitizing solution, and mitigate the usage standard of food contact surface sanitizing solution.
