Import conditions for the related products previously set out in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/626, and under Tables 1 and 2 of Annex XIV of Commission Regulation (EU) No 142/2011, are now published on GOV.UK.
The following model Health Certificates have been amended to reflect this change, citing the new GOV.UK webpage:
- Model Health Certificate GBHC093X for raw petfood from non-EU countries;
- Model Health Certificate GBHC434 for raw or treated raw collagen or gelatine materials for transit or storage;
- Model Health Certificate GBHC440 for composite products;
- Model Health Certificate GBHC501 for blood products from Equidae.
In addition, a clarifying line has been added to model GBHC440 to confirm that an Official Inspector can sign the certificate where the composite products contain only egg or fishery products.
Publishing these import conditions on GOV.UK means they can be amended administratively rather than through legislation. This allows for more agile responses to changes in risk.
These administrative amendments are not changing the associated import requirements.
There is a period of six months' grace (ending on 31 October 2025) in which both the prior and current certificate will be accepted.
