Based on document G/SPS/N/CHN/1071 notified on 30 May 2018, the standard has:
1. Revised the scope of application. This standard now applies exclusively to edible livestock and poultry blood products made from single species of livestock or poultry blood as raw material;
2. Removed requirements for physicochemical indices including moisture content and volatile basic nitrogen;
3. Deleted provisions on maximum residue limits (MRLs) for veterinary drugs;
4. Added product naming requirements, stipulating that product names must clearly specify the species of livestock or poultry used as the raw material.
