The document advises of the decision to establish a maximum residue level (MRL) for nicarbazin in eggs. This MRL is being proposed to manage the unavoidable cross-contamination of nicarbazin into non-target feed for layer hens. This approach is similar to that taken by the European Commission (Commission Regulation 610/2012), and aligns with the nicarbazin egg MRL established by the Australian authority.
